Colour, Colour, Colour!
Spring|Summer ’13 is all about bright colour in coral, electric blue, bright mauve, buttercup yellow, Atlantis aqua and timeless black & white.
Flowing viscose dresses are punctuated with cinched-in belts and hemlines are maxi long in elongated sheath dresses in cuts that allow the body to move freely and create discreet curves.
Body conscious jerseys and draping follow the trend in pencil slim shapes, simply following the contours of the body. Asymmetry remains a key feature; shoulders and arms show off for the summer.
Lace and lattice patterns in soft cotton poplins bring femininity and ease; the lacy dress is a seasonal must.
Engineered stripes and chevrons with a sporty influence are strong for SS’13. Mixed jersey stripes in body-con knits and fine 12 gauge sweater knits in multi-colored yarn-dye stripes are perfect for chic statement dressing. The tank dress and tee dress are key pieces for the season.

We’ve incorporated global trends with a hint of modern luxury, with minimal silhouettes in luxurious fabrics. Key trends for the season include nostalgia for the retro looks of the 70s – think Mary Tyler Moore!
The “bright” statement continues to make an impact in global colour trends; poppy and red being the key colours for F|W’12-13. Brights of emerald and purple are subdued by mink, black and dove grey.
Simplified and iconic silhouettes are on-trend in asymmetric “cold shoulder” dresses, column shapes, maxi lengths, shift dresses, draped and halter styles.
Sweater knits take on new directions with the fine gauge sweater dress and elongated wrap cardigan. Jacquard patterns are key in 70’s geos, dots and atmospheric space-dyed yarns.
Fabrics and yarns include our signature ultra-comfortable Modal/spandex jersey, matte and shiny viscose jerseys, viscose/cotton jacquards and Merino wool blended yarns in soft sweater knits.
Bridal dresses follow trend in flowing viscose jersey with statement beading. Each style is available in ivory for bridal and black for evening.
The Sono Vacanza resortwear collection is targeted at all women, for easy style before – during – and after pregnancy. Sono Vaso Spring/Summer 2012 a Tuscan romance
Viva la dolce vita! Sono Vaso’s Spring/Summer ’12 collection for the modern, sophisticated pregnant woman takes its inspiration from the sun-drenched colors, the rich history, the culture, and the oh-so-relaxed lifestyle of Tuscany.
We’ve incorporated global trends with a hint of modern luxury, with minimal silhouettes in luxurious fabrics. Other key trends for the season include nostalgia for the classic looks of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, and a return to the prim, proper, ultra-feminine style of the “ladies who lunch”.
Global color trends indicate a huge shift into greens, deep spruce and pine shades, blues, orange-cast citrus tones and base colors, ink, sandstone, earth hues, gold and bronze, khaki, white, and ivory. For our S/S’12 collection, we celebrate the colors of the sunlight-kissed Tuscan earth: grass green, orangeade, navy blue, red, charcoal, silver, gold, bronze and the natural color spectrum.
Fabric choices include our signature fabric, the ultra-comfortable Modal/spandex jersey, plus cotton jerseys and poplins, silk sateens, textured shantung and matte Crepe de Chine silk, sweater knit tape yarns, and matte and shiny viscose jerseys.
With design touches such as silk sateen trims, bold embellishments, and ultra-chic silhouettes, the collection features fitted and loose tunics, capri pants, shirt dresses, classic shirts, flowing maxi lengths, boat necks, nautical stripes, statement color-blocked beading, rustic metallic sequins, and maxi evening and bridal gowns with dramatic draping.
Our bridal dresses follow the minimal trend in flowing viscose jersey with statement beading. Each style is available in ivory for bridal and black for evening, which completes the evening range of shiny viscose jersey styles.

Maternity Fashion for Autumn/Winter 2011 Heads to Morocco
Hong Kong-based international maternity-wear brand Sono Vaso will launch its Autumn/Winter 2011 range on September 1. The range is inspired by the streets of Marrakesh plus the latest global trends in “Boho Luxe” and “1950s Glamour”.
Ms Melanie McInally, a Director of Sono Vaso and the brand’s designer, said: “I was inspired by the Middle-Eastern tunic style of dressing – it’s comfortable, and it fits women of all shapes and sizes. I love travel and history and I love reading books about the country. So nearly a year ago, when I saw a book with luscious photos of the streets of Marrakesh, with their rich red and blue colours, I knew I’d found my inspiration for our Autumn/Winter 2011 range.”

Other influences on Sono Vaso’s Autumn/Winter 2011 range are “Boho Luxe” and “1950s Glamour”. Ms McInally explained: “These are global fashion trends for AW11-12 that we’ve researched in our design direction over the past year. ‘Boho Luxe’ is all about fluid, flowing shapes accented with a touch of luxe. So for example, all our tunics feature a silk satin trim at the neckline and cuffs. And ‘1950s Glamour’ is about ladylike Hollywood glamour, as epitomised by Grace Kelly.”

The colours reflect this season’s obsession with the Nude palette; faded Charcoal teamed with Nude, Khaki, Black, and embellished with Bronze, Gold and Silver matt sequins. The collection is popped with Peach and Electric Blue in strong solids.
